Emerald Valley Thinning Inc. (EVT Inc.) was formed in October 1995. The principals of the company—Tracy Smouse and Jerry Sedlak—founded the firm to specialize in cable thinning in Western Oregon. Since the start, the firm has broadened its capabilities to include all types of second growth harvesting—from ground-based thinnings to cable logging final harvests.
Currently EVT Inc. is owned and operated by husband and wife Tracy and Laurel Smouse along with their son Travis Smouse.
